How Safe is Moringa?

Generally, it is good to eat the leaves like every other edible leaf. Also the pods are good to eat. Research shows that eating the leaf extracts made from powder and water may also be safe. But it is not advisable for pregnant women to eat the bark as this could cause contraction which can in turn lead to miscarriage.

You can buy it as a powder though. There is no specific dose as regulated by any government agency. It advisable to use as a vegetable like every other edible leave.

There are also some companies that sell supplements made from moringa. One of them is Zija. But I advise that pregnant or breast feeding mothers consult their doctors before taking it.
